This week we launched our brand new website. It has been a long and grueling process. I have struggled with design problems and creative ways to get our brand out there.
The show this week featured the NBA Playoffs, NFL Power rankings and Major League Baseball closers.
I can’t believe how much home court has mattered in this years NBA Playoffs. It’s weird because there doesn’t seem to be any dominant teams this year in the league, they all seem to be on a level playing field. This parallels what happened this year in the Western Conference, but in the East it seemed Detroit and Boston were by far the best teams.
I am anxious about what is going to play out in these finals and predicted on the show New Orleans (Charlotte, haha) and LA would prevail out west and in the East I proclaimed Lebron would take over the series and head back to the conference finals to face Detroit. Could I have been more wrong? I guess we will have to wait and see what happens-
The NFL Power Rankings are out and I was SHOCKED the Giants weren’t included in the TOP 5. Are you kidding me? They BEAT what many people were calling “The greatest team in the history of the NFL” They didn’t LOSE anybody to speak of. SO When I edited the show this week, I included Highlights of the SUPER BOWL to remind everyone that the G-MEN did win the Super Bowl and should be included in not the top 5 but the top 3! (And by the way, I am a Denver Bronco fan so don’t call me a homer on this one).
When we spoke about baseball and closers, Tak called my argument of Joba being Joba “The lamest argument I’ve ever heard”. TAK have you ever heard of “Manny being Manny?” I just don’t understand how Manny’s antics can be poo-pooed and Joba’s get ridiculed. Let the kid be a kid. I DONT LIKE IT- BUT If thats who he is, let him be who he is! It’s UN Yankee like, but as I was reminding Justin before the show, the Yankees had a closer by the name of John Wetteland back in 1996 who ALSO got emotional- Where was the “uproar” then. People including myself need to realize that this ISN’T the same team as the Yankees had even 4 years ago, let alone when they won championships in the late 1990’s.
As far as IZZY and “GAG”NE. IZZY needs to find himself again, you cannot have that kind of attitude and pitch. You have to WANT to be on the mound. Gagne in my opinion, did steroids. I have NO proof, I have NO evidence but my gut tells me he did. Look at his numbers and how fast they declined since he was a Dodger! This is a guy who was a product of that almighty era. By the way, did you know that if the current pace of Home Runs continues, the league will be down 1,000 home runs over the past 2 years? Fascinating!
Well, listen in next week and subscribe to our blog-
